Hi All,

Got those pesky drums off yesterday. Took quite a bit more pounding with the hard rubber mallet. The main problem turned out to be the center hub were it was really stuck on. Tried cutting in again and again and spraying PB Blaster, used some heat to get a bit of wax in...and finally after many more whacks, they freed up from the hub.

Even though they had always been spinning free (i.e. no brakes binding them up) - I realized once the hubs were free that they still needed the shoes backed off even more. Kind of tough getting a screwdriver back there with the suspension spring in the way (the real tool seems to be one of those curved brake adjustment tools). For those of you on the cheep like me, I found one of those paint can opening tools to work perfectly for reaching through the access hole and grabbing the adjustment teeth.

Doing the wheel bearings tonight and the brakes maybe tomorrow.
