not in the last 6 months since scrap metal has skyrocketed. the scrapyard near me pays the highest in the area. a guy i met locally just scrapped out a 91 audi last week for $600. and i know the vanagons weigh more than that, especially a westy. the last time i took a vehicle to this scrapyard was about a year ago, a becaically a shell, 91 vanagon with no motor, no trans, no doors, no gas tank, no interior, no wheels, no spindles, no radiator..and it even had the front and rear clip cut off it. and i still got $218 for it. just think what i would have gotten if i had left it complete..
