The oil pressure switch wire is a solid brown lead. I had a similar problem when I first got my '85 - an unknown wire in the engine hole. Turns out it was the courtesy light wire, for the switch from the hatch. The switch itself is tucked up next to the latching post, under the floor surface. I don't remember the wire colors, but that is another possibility. To test tis theory, just ground the wire - if the interior lights come on, you have solved your mystery!

Of course, you have to have working lights, and have at least one of them switched to work when a door opens...
