The Porsche 944 turbos have a waste gate, with racecars using an adjustable waste gate...So, the drivers can actually dial in more boost and they often do...to the detriment of their headgaskets..A frequent problem with the 944 turbo racing crowd. It is common to see those small four cylinder motors putting out ~375-425 hp, dynoed at the rear wheels..About 100 times the power of a diesel van (content) Oh, the 944s, in street legal form, weigh in at 2500lbs or so..But no kitchen..
