The best one to run would probably be Version 5.6. Version 6.0 makes it
mandatory to install at a *detected* screen resolution of 1280x1024. If the
install doesn't detect this resolution it will abort the install. BTDT.
But 5.6 still requires you to run the actual program after installation at a
screen resolution of 1280x1024. If you don't have that resolution on your
laptop (or older desktops), the "get-around" for me was to use a screen
"scrolling" program called SDesk.
The nice thing about Version 7 is that it doesn't care about the screen
resolution, but it still runs best at 1024x768 or above.
