Hi all: I've been a member of this list since 1997 when I purchased my first and only Vanagon. I don't post often, since my mechanical capabilities are not such that I can find a solution for anything other than an issue that you of the list have helped me to solve previously. : ) I've received lots of great advice along the way. My 1990 non GL (theater seats, rubber floor mats) was terrific for carting around the little ones and all the gear and all their friends. I stopped driving it regularly due to an alternator / battery issue that we couldn't seem to get resolved for a long time. By the time it got all worked out, I felt like I couldn't trust the Van to get me where I needed to go anymore with the kids. It's been parked for awhile. I'm writing because I have no idea how to sell it and for how much. Once again, I'm asking for help from the listees. I'm pulling together the mechanical records now, so that'll help give a better idea of its overall condition. I'm wondering if there's anyone on the list in the area who would be willing to take a look and give me some guidance with this. Thanks in advance, Karen |
