Is it permissible/possible to splice in a flare fitting as a coupler between the rear brake line and the brake wheel cylinder? I ruined the fitting at the cylinder. I have some new 5 mm brake lines with the bubble flare I could use for a pigtail on the distal end. A local shop did this on a front brake when I gave up on the futility of unfreezing older brake unions working alone in my driveway. Van O'White, my '87 Vanagon GL-turned-camper will appreciate any advice. George in humid Grand Rapids. |
