We have a power steering line kit available for $200.  It replaces the
long metal lines with high pressure hydraulic lines (3000 psi).  This
kit is in our webstore as part number pshosekit
It will fit all Vanagons that have power steering including syncro.  I
have been selling quite a few of these lately and folks have been very
happy with it.
