Good on ya Jeff. More inspiration. My conversion is almost totally road worthy for the camping!

They found your tat's intimidating? Maybe, but as a single male Westy camper I often get the feeling that people are cautious of me. Of course if they drive a Vanagon, then no problem!

One things for sure. If it was me with the wife and two teenage daughters, I'd be cautious of any single campin' dude! --- ;^)

I returned to camp and while cooking dinner a German family pulled up to the site next to me in what I'm guessing was a rental car. I figured at that point he must be an engineer with VW, probably the guy who designed the 1.9 cooling system. They all get out, mom, dad, and two teenage daughters and start yelling at each other in German, unpacking camping gear from the trunk. Next thing I know they are shoving it all back in the car and they move to site further down-I guess at 6'4" and all my tattoos I looked too intim > idating?
