After allowing blood to flow back to my brain, I realized I had pulled a Homer. They came out easily using a magnet tool.

All-
I have searched the archives and review the bentley, but have not found clear indication on how to exactly remove the hydraulic lifters out of the block. As I look at them, there appears to be a sleeve in front of the lifters. am I correct? Is it just a matter of pulling the sleeve out, then drawing the lifter out? Any suggestions on the easiest way to get the sleeves out?
