I just dropped mine with a metal sawhorse sitting across the hatch. You have to tilt the engine a lot, I don't think a big floor jack would work very well. No special tools needed, but a pair of those hose clamp pliers would have saved a lot of snapping around with regular pliers to get the fittings off. The bentley goes over the process pretty well. Essentially, you're pivoting the engine down on the front transmission mount, loosening everything in the rear. The muffler and tin come out with the engine.
