I was the one that said that fiberglass or expanding foam in-a-can was a
bad idea. It sounds like you're referring to styrofoam board for use as
insulation. This may be a good idea, but whatever you decide to use, it has
to allow moisture to escape. If it absorbs/ holds water, or traps it
against the steel body, it will accelerate the rust problems.
