It looks like I'll finally be able to drop the engine and transmission in m= y 87 Westy this weekend. Are there any websites that have a good set of ins= tructions to drop both the engine and transmission (and of course put them = back in)?

I'm assuming I'll have to rent a big garage-style floor jack to drop the en= gine? All I have is a small 1.5 ton floor jack.

All you need is your puny 1.5T floor jack. Do you think that engine and tranny weigh more than that ? The whole van is just around 3000 lbs !!!!! You can lower the whole shebang on your 1.5T floor jack no problemo. Use a suitable piece of plywood to be able to balance the unit, otherwise it will get out of hand and fall of the jack before your ready to take it off.
