Actually, my first suggestion would be some place that does "hot rod" restoration parts, like Year One. These sort of folks carry NEW fiberglass matt material, similar to what was used in the long ago days, under the hoods of various muscle cars. Some places sell only the pre-cut patterned sets, while others have it in bulk.

Another place to talk to would be any furnace installation company in your local area. Furnace filters are often fiberglass matt, and bulk insulation is also easier for these suppliers to find.

You will wish to have some bulk to the cloth, to help with noise abatement, in addition to heat dissipation...
