it's funny how it's so popular to answer someone's quiry by posting a link - then they have to go digging there.

And.........the tire reviews on roadhous are GREAT .....great resournce and great thing to see. It's probably there, but I don't see 'fits spare tire holder'.

And ......so far, to me, there are two sizes or styles of clamshells that hold the spare tire. Look where the bolt goes in the front of it to hold the clamshell up. it's either 'flat' there ( earlier vans ) or 'stepped' .....those are on later vans that can have 205/70 R 14 tires as stock. ( see the tire lable right inside the dirver's door )

my 87 Wolfsburg ( FS, btw ) takes the 205/70 R14 tries stock......and it has the clamshell that will take the wider tire.

of course........all tires of the same size don't have the same physical dimentions actually. and sometimes using a wider rim will make it difficul to get the spare to fit. This 87 Wolfy came with 14 inch alloys and 205/70 R14's and one of those should fit in the spare tire holder.

not impressed with the curtness/laziness I perceive so often on lists and groups, scott
