Hi all,

I got all the dope I need.  I went with Red Line 75/90 synthetic gear lube for $11.00 a bottle .  I guess I can drink the left overs.  

The rear shoes I went with are Centric for $40.  I saw today others as cheap with life time warrenty for $13 for crummies.

Auto parts stores snooze they loose. . Even on the internet like www.rockauto.com came close but hey for shipping and wait a week, no dice.


Gear OIL (dope), You guys really want to cut coners get over to Wallmart.  They sell the dope for $10. Super Tec, made in America.  Believe it or not!  Cheaper if you go blend or dino..  I say if you dealing with dope , forget less get the best.

AND::::   Did you know that shoe size really dosen't matter?  But of couse it does.  I got 2 different sizes of rear drums brake shoe dimentions.  Go figure!   I could see myself beating those rear drums back on with a 5 pound hammer in scorching 95 degree heat and humidity.  No frickin way.  Give me a beer please andI'll sit it out.

You got to know how to hold em, know when to fold em!

PSS.  Get 2 bottles of RED LINE WATER WETTER!    You have 8 gallons of antifreeze in that water boxer.

I can garantee that if you use this in your cooling system it will drop the top engine temp by 15%.  

The Star magazine put out for Mecerdes Benz solidily recomends it.  I have use it for years in the Benz..

I tried it in the 85 Westie and it WORKS.  I NEVER had over heating again.  My soul is sold.  This was 10 years going on.  Hey what do you think hot rodders and dragsters use?  Have you ever seen their logos on the sides of those cars?  Wake and up and GET RED LINE WATER WETTER.  (around $9.00,   16 oz. )

This is not a commerical.  I am all ready rich.  They should pay me.  Remember cooler is better.  I am sharing it with you.  I knew all this stuff today before I put in my help notice, I just wanted to see who is alive and well out there and who had GREAT side bar comments.
