I have to agree, and caution against cheap ones. I got some cheap ones from ebay that are like pliers but with different ends. The ends are sort of cup shaped on one side for the single tab and a cup shape with a groove for the other tang of the clamp. The ends of the pliers are bent at 45', so you can really reach into some tight spots. The problem is the ratchet mechanism would not hold the pliers at their maximum squeezed position, so the clamp would not be totally compressed. I ended up using slip joint pliers like channel locks for most of the clamps. I borrowed some cable type another time, and that was really good.
