I just got a spectacular tip from Ken Willford of Vanagain (A great resource for parts by the way!), that i just tried out and it works smashingly. After you've got the bolts out, and you've smacked on it with a hammer a bit (brake drums and hammers go hand in hand), pull out a torch, in my case map gas worked just fine, and heat right around the center of the drum, where it's most likely bound to the rear hub. Make sure you're parking brakes off, as that will hold the drum on right there. Just heat it for a bit, moving it around the center of the drum. 30 seconds or so and you'll either get a "POP", or it's time to whack on it a bit with the hammer. Give it a try. If that doesnt work, creative but VERY GENTILE prying against the backing plate is not something i'll reccomend...... But it works. -Craig '85GL
