My old Mercedes that had rear drum brakes had three evenly space threaded holes in the face of the drum. You could thread bolts into those holes, and then tighten them evenly and they would push against the flange and press the drum off. Nice touch, I've not seen that on any other cars, but I'd guess you could drill and tap some holes to do that once you got the drum off. Allan -- 1991 Vanagon GL |
