on lubing plastic things that I want to slide or move easily, I use silicone spray, in a spray can. On electrical things I use WD-40 - I've never had WD - 40 hurt anything. window tracks too- silicone spray. where plastic tends to bind and stick or sqeak..........silicone spary is perfect, where you want a lube but not an oily one. I use a lot of Simple Green cleaning things. .........like carpets and seats. I spray it on, scrub it in with a brush ...........blast it with compressed air. has quite a cleaning affect. I like armor-all, but some people are very down on it, says it cracks things............but I like it. I use window clenaer on windows. tire cleaner on tires. armor-all on plastic trim, like bumper parts. one step cleaner wax on the paint. the holes for the jump seats should be under there I'd think.

Hey everyone - first and foremost - thanks for all the replys regarding the parts I'm looking for. Cool community you have going on here. I am afraid to skip checking emial daily though! You guys communicate! Topics at hand - is there a way to clean or "lubricate" the power window switches so that they don't stick? My grandma has the same year van as mine - and hers are smooth as silk (now it has barely been driven!) I woudl hate to short them out since they are about 100 a pop - so 300 to replace all of them by spraying something in there that doesn't belong! Bzzzzttt!! Cleaning the interior - I don't know that the interior of this van has been cleaned in a long time. Not like disgusting or filthy - just plain dirty. Suggestions on cleaners / protectors that may be biodegradable and not damage any of the interior panels? OK - one more - the cargo area inside the sliding door has been recarpeted - but I want to instal the jumpseats (I have the original seats - never been sat on!) and the peg hole is no longer visible. Is there a spot in the floor where the pegs of the jumpseats insert? My wife wants me to take it back to stock carpet. Will it have holes already? THANKS! Aaron 90 Westfalia Weekender "Brick" |
