Okay, I disconnected the wires from the terminal posts and used the probes to measure each wire's end. This means the only thing being read by the multimeter is the wires going into and out of the rod, and the rod itself. No ohms registered at all. Nada. not at 200, 2000, 20K. Blank display. Double-checked the multimeter by touching the probes. The multimeter is fine. Is it now definitive to conclude there is no circuit within this part of the 120v system, hence no resistance in the rod, hence no refrigeration? In other words, should the heater rod (and wires) be replaced? regards, Thomas |
