Re: the power window switches. I've disassembled them before and cleaned them. As I remember it, the key success factors are a clean work area (parts may snap out), a good degreaser, a good light grease (say fishing reel grease), and some small screwdrivers and perhaps pliers. IIRC, it took patience and a steady hand. But the end result was successful. A side note: I'm surprised the bulbs on the window switches keep working years (and miles, or perhaps run-hours) after their installation. I believe they're illuminated whenever the ignition is on. I know that replacements were available at one time through list vendors or list members, but that the wiring harness would have to be reinstalled. Not a big issue, IMHO. Good luck. - Kevin |
