I've been thinking about something similar, but much more low tech. Reliance made a 5 gallon black plastic solar shower, I thought perhaps it could sit in the luggage rack and the hose with the spray head brought inside the van through the front zipper for hot water to rinse dishes, etc. Having trouble finding the exact product though. Anyone have any ideas on where to look? thanks, Ellen & Lola, '85 Vanagon ASIClimb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. It appears to run off a couple of D batteries, and measures 11 x 14 inches by about 4 1/2 inches deep. While it's designed to run off a larger propane tank, it could be adapted to a disposable cylinder pretty easily. It also appears it's designed for a garden hose, pressurized water source, but again could be adapted to a portable pump or even the westy faucet with an adapter. The ignition comes on and off automatically with water flow. Very similar to a Coleman hot water on demand, but slightly different shape and configuration. May be useful to someone out there. If not, scroll on.> > Troy _________________________________________________________________ Stay in touch when you're away with Windows Live Messenger. http://www.windowslive.com/messenger/overview.html?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_messenger2_072008
