He says its a direct replacement. He also explains why our throttle bodies are so worn out: the butterfly is used to control axial movement. He uses sealed ball bearings. I always wished I had learned more metal machining skills.

The story on those crappy throttle bodies we all have has been reported here before by ME ! I rebuild them and add shims at the top of the shaft to transfer the bearing surface off the butterfly. What kind of engineer did that in the first place ? He should be sent to Vanagon Hell ! Putting ball bearings in there is a nice touch but what's the cost ? Maybe not all that much once a jig is set up to machine the throttle body for the bearing. Hmmmmmmmmm ! I will look into that for my throttle body rebuilding service !
