Subject: Yakima cross bars alternatives
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

While at Home Depot, I saw some three quarter-inch black gas line that I thought I could use in place of the expensive Yakima crossbars. Does anybody know if black gas line will rust? It appears that the end caps from the Yakima will fit into them, so this should prevent rusting at the ends. I probably only saved about $40, so if there's a chance they will rust I may just return them and go for the Yakima's. Are most of you using the 58" or 66" lengths? I bought 72" that I will trim, but just curious as to what is considered stock.

Thx,

Troy
