Yes,
It will give a warning at some point when the wrong oil is used or the
engine is over filled after a long high speed run.

Do keep in mind that with the switch set an .9bar, (12.7 psi) you can be in
trouble if you can't maintain that pressure above 2,000 rpm. Not self
destruct mode but definatley on your way. Also keep in mind that the high
pressure switch is before the filter and cooler.

If you want to test the system, use 5w-30 oil, over fill by 1/2 quart and
drive for an hour at 70 mph. The buzzer will likely sound as you exit the
freeway.
