As soon as you consider a "propane" refrigerator, you are dealing with
almost certainly dealing with an ammonia cycle fridge (which is what
the Dometic 182's are.) That style has a limit, in that it really has
difficulty in cooling if the ambient air temperature is over 90
degrees (dark colored Westy's will get over 90 F very quickly.) That's
why the compressor style fridge (outside of vehicles) were invented,
and that's also why various folks have fitted their westy's with
compressor style fridges (of varying details).
