Good tip. I hope it "holds".

I rebuilt my pedal assembly with the dash off, but FWIW, I *think* one can remove the pedal cluster/booster as a unit w/o removing the dash. Not sure if simply unbolting the MC from booster would allow enough room though.

The rebuild parts aren't too $$ IIRC. If one does it, it's totally worth inspecting the hole where clutch MC clevis passes through. Mine was really worn. I actually managed to braze a piece of steel in. Aside from a minor click I can feel when depressing clutch pedal, pedals feel great and nice to know the clevis will stay put!
