After you get to it, it's not hard to replace. If it is not the oil pump or one of the other sources noted could the seal at the end of the crankshaft be leaking? I have a similar "drip" from our 85. Once the cat, muffler, cross bar and pulley are removed the source of the oil should be visible. How hard is it to replace the seal on the crank?
