Ken is right, about the plastic tank grommets - mine were toast! I did not bother pulling the sender though, but yes, you want to replace those grommets.

Note this job can be done rather quickly, but to do it right, clean and paint outside of tank - maybe replace the rubber pads on the side of the tank, if a couple were missing, like on my van, paint the support straps, etc, it's best to spread the job over two mornings - that's mainly so you can get a few coats of paint, cold galvanizing compound or POR15 on things.

For the vent lines, some use good quality zip ties and forget about the clamps (although I used clamps). I have a write up on the tank dropping and replacement of vent lines that I can share by P-Mail. It was done from memory after the fact, so it might not be perfect. I'd love someone to check it out while doing the procedure.
