I have a ShurFlo and think it's a great replacement for the stock, but it too is all plastic. It was very discouraging to have the plastics threads strip out when I tried to install an adapter. Finally resorted to some JB Weld, and now it works fine. I do love the adjustable volume control, and it seems to swivel every which direction. Certainly wouldn't mind seeing some metal at the threaded areas. I can also say my first one was a dud (bad switch), but was told this was a rare instance. Not many options for Westy faucets, so I'm pleased with the upgrade, but it's not exactly an all brass fixture by any means. Troy |
