I'm almost finished with installing a Syncro motor in my 2WD '84 Westy. Not quite the same as a Syncro conversion, but the number of details in which the two engines differ is quite astounding. One reason is that the Syncro motor sits lower in the chassis. BTW, I do have a Syncro motor carrier and a muffler heat shield, the one onto which the coolant bottle mounts, left over from my transplant, if anyone needs them. I'm in Atlanta.
