Subject: Sway bar connection link - where to find one?

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows where to find a sway bar connection link. We have an '84 Vanagon. I've called around to a lot of places, and searched online. I found one at the dealership for $170 (gasp!). Is this what you would recommend? Or is there a hidden cache of obscure VW parts I'm not aware of? We are in Denver, and were planning on leaving next week for our yearly vacation (in the bus!) and time is rather tight for this fix.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks, Jeannine
