So a deal has fallen into my lap. I wanted to buy a westy interior for my
already poptop GL van (which also needs a canvas....), and one came up but
only if i purchase the WHOLE VAN for $400. Well i have a reasonable scrap
offer, but really would rather not see all the mechanical parts turned into
future drill bits, so i'm asking here.....sight unseen of the
vehicle......WHAT DO YOU WANT!? Make an offer. The whole engine, $100 (does
that sound good?). AIRCOOLED Automatic transmission, unknown shape, $100?.
Instrument cluster, grill, headlights, heaterboxes, exhaust system, you name
it, everything's for sale at whatever you offer (unless you're out-offered).
The thing is, i plan to only possess the vehicle for at most, 2 weeks, hence
the question of "what do you need'? I know theres a few of you out there
thinking "Round headlights would look good on my syncro", well the whole
setup will run ya $50! (Plus shipping). Have an aircooled engine but need a
piece of tin that someone wants $50 for...... buy the whole engine with
exhaust and everything for $100! There's your tin! (I don't know if any of
this is "good". Assume everything to be cores for the time being).

So if your thinking "I need one of those", and you think i might be able to
help you out, I only need a few items to make my dream of a rusty,
franken-westy that mostly runs to come true! So, BUY A SPARE! No part too
small, no offer to small. I'll sell the rearview mirror for a quarter, i
really just want to see some parts go to good hands, and lower my overhead
costs.
