Hi folks: I'm on the road, and seem to have developed a coolant leak. It appears to be originating at the hose/junction that joins the 2 pieces of pipe going from the water pump to the passengers side cylinder head. I believe it is a 3" piece of 1" i.d. hose, part number 901.287.03. I went to Parts for Trucks...they chuckled at my request and gave me a piece for free. I'm torn between attempting this repair or trying to watch everything and make it back home. My question is; how much work is involved? What else must be removed? It looks like the oil filler pipe might be in the way. If anyone is in the mood for giving advice, can you pmail me at tom@tomrowsell.com ? I have over 200 unread messages on the list, and access with a Blackberry is painful :) Thanks in advance for any help... Tom (86 2.1l) |
