Yep, I've done it. You will have to remove the whole duct, as far as I know. I didn't know this at first when I took the rear housing down--heh heh, I thought it was a plastic shell covering the evaporator. It's not, it's the MOUNT for the evaporator. It's heavy and you'll need help. When I removed it, the AC tunnel fell to the floor. When it was all apart, I could see how it worked. Start at the front and work back. It doesn't take all the long. You'll need help, especially in the back. I cut some 2 x 4s to prop up the back part to keep the strain off the hoses. If you just need to get to the hose connections, I think you can save a whole lot of trouble and do that through the speaker hole. Another thing I figured out after the fact.
