Courtney, thanks a lot for the suggestion. To press out the old and press in the new wheel bearing for a front wheel drive front wheel bearing it will also need a bearing separator. It is not a cheap item. I did not know anything about it but knew I needed one, in addition to a press. I may look for the press for the future. But I had already had the bearing done by a repair shop for $25.00. I saw a bearing separator the first time there. It is a huge tool easily cost more than $100. Since it is already done I will not need to deal with it any time soon. Just to update everyone who had followed this thread the bearing that has been pressed out is really defective. It has play and turns roughly. It wasn't obvious when the axle was connected to it. The new FAG bearing on the other hand is completely smooth and tight. Money is well spent I think. David
