So i couldn't help but notice on my '80 westy donor, the sink drain is this
massive 2'' (ish) pipe and i can't help but think it's extremely excessive.
Furthermore, mine has some kind of EXTRA outlet on the outside of the van, a
4th plastic cover located higher than the others and right behind the
driver. Someone said this was to help release vapors from the drain or
something of that nature?
Well i really would rather keep to making only one hole in the side of my
van, for the fridge flu vent......so is there anyway i can bypass this? I
see GoWesty sells adaptors from the 2'' pipe down to some 1/2'' (ish) soft
hose. Could i just get an adaptor to soft hose and run soft hose down
through the cabinet and out the bottom? Maybe back to another "Big" adaptor
at the bottom so as to utilize the stock undercarriage drain system, or is
the venting of the drain system a serious concern on vanagons?
How'd the latter models do it?
