I did this with the rear section of a Vanagon so that I could mock up engine conversions.  The floor was cut right where the rear of the sliding door would be and a radiator mounted there.   Tracks quite well.  Really if I were to do this, I would use a single cab bed. 

This will be used for my up coming body lift project as it is easier to turn this upside down and attach all the bits that way than monkeying with a van in the garage and trial fitting something one hundred times.
