Sheesh -- I don't know how it is in your neck of woods, but here in coastal SoCal everyone uses "mow and blow" yard care guys who don't do anything if it isn't powered by a two-cycle engine. Considering that everyone is on their own schedule, I can count on at least two houses within earshot to be alive with the whine, shriek, and roar of weed whippers, leaf blowers, and lawnmowers per day. None of these engines have any kind of emissions controls. Don't know how it's gonna be in Bend, to where we're moving this month, but I pray it's quieter; I'm considering finding someone who uses a push mower and broom -- I'll pay a bit more for the quiet.
