I'm sure the tears and gnashing of teeth will start as soon as the buyer
sees it in person. Or his wife does.

Vanagons can rust beyond redemption and some might not realize this
applies to Syncro Westys as well. I have seen one that was so bad the
jack points could not be used to raise it. A flattened tin can was
riveted to the floor so the gas pedal had something to attach to. Yes, a
Syncro Westy. A friend bought it on Ebay and shipped it across country
thinking he made a sweet buy to restore for a profit. Next he shipped it
to the crusher, after pulling all usable parts, worth less than half his
costs.
