Yep, the OE mounts are pricey, the after-market mounts that I've been using
and selling go for about $32/each.  My vendors each carry a different
after-market brand, one made in Turkey, the other in Latin America (can't
remember the country).  The Turkey one is quite well made and is the one I
use most often.

As for better than OE... I'm not too sure.  In my experience (100's of
Vanagons through the shop), the OE mounts last 20+ years on a 2WD.

Jeff,

I see several of our vendors selling the OE mounts for $201, and a few
selling the Indian made version for $35-50. This has been built to be better
then OE for a lower price than OE, just some more choices for all of us.
