You must be "out of your Element" when you drive your Vanagon. Turning the AC off on your Hon-dehr won't save as much gas as not using your gas heater.=)

Local dismantler here sells gas tanks. They save the gas coming out of the tanks these days -- for their own cars. Speaking of forklifts, I couldn't figure out for months why my 88 Doka would rapidly run out of gas after a quarter of a tank That was until I put the truck on a lift. The US Customs guys must have used a lift when they inspected this truck for contraband. You can see there forklift marks on the gas tank straps too. My apologies to those unknown mechanics who I thought dented my tank while working on the Doka. By the way, the Customs forklift inspection was not a routine mirror peek job. It was a full search after contraband was already found on the truck. No. it happened before I owned the truck.
