Subject: Re: FAG or SKF wheel bearings?

One last message on this thread.

I went to pick up a FAG wheel bearing for my Passat this afternoon. It is FAG no doubt. And it is made in Canada, not Germany.

Not sure if FAG has a factory in Canada. It's possible but who knows. I should not care either. FAG and SKF may source from same manufacturers. The price for FAG is very good though. I paid only $43 + tax. This is very good. But the store wanted $110 to press out the old bearing and press in the new one. I think that's too much for one bearing only. I am sure I can find a shop to do it for much less.

David
