I'm considering getting a new poptop tent. It turns out that while on vacation we will be very close to Los Osos, CA, so we will definitely be visiting GoWesty. They have tents for between $320 and $480, for an OEM from Germany. Is there any reason NOT to get the "$320 Special?" Are the more expensive ones really a better bet? I would have them install it, so I'm not particularly concerned with ease of installation. We live about 180 miles from GoWesty, so I'm trying to make a list of hard to find and larger "stuff" that we can pick up and avoid shipping charges. Another thing I was considering is the waterproof luggage rack cargo box<http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=3984&category_id=325&category_parent_id=>, which sells for $249. Does anyone have one of these, or are there any particular pros and cons, other than the price? I'm looking for additional storage that's semi-permanent, safe and waterproof, although I'm concerned about the sun because I have no garage or carport for my Westy. Any suggestions and recommendations are welcome. Thanks. Patti |
