This oil pan looks like the one used in early Audi 4000 fitments.
If it is a diesel PN, then I suppose it is for a diesel or turbo diesel Audi
motor.
The fins on the bottom of the pan run parallel to the airflow in transverse
engine mounting configurations, so this would indicate use in Dasher or Fox
or Audi 4K.
Seeing as how the Fox is an el-cheapo car, I doubt VAG would fit a cast
aluminum pan, so this pan is probably for Audi or Dasher.

it's obviously not a normal 50 degree diesel vanagon oil pan.
Looks like a cast aluminum jetta/golf type oil pan to me, gas or diesel.
