OK, I don't know why you all want to make such a big job out such an easy one ! All that needs to be done here is to remove that plastic fitting and the hoses connected to it. Then run a new piece of fuel hose from the T fitting to the plastic fuel hose on the forward side of the fire wall, passing it through the hole in the firewall where the plastic connector was. Cover the new hose with the old hose cover so that it goes through the hole in the fire wall or use a grommet there if you can find one of the correct diameter. If you have some old fuel hose covering laying around you can add it to the end near the T to make up for the now missing length. Use new fuel injection hose clamps at either end of the new hose. I have done hundreds of these and it takes about 1/2 hour and if the plastic fuel hose is loose and long enough and the hose clamps on the original fittings are the original squeeze type you can pull the old hose and clamps through the hole in the fire wall after unbolting the plastic connector and do the whole job from inside the engine compartment thereby evading a jack and crawling under to do the connection to the plastic hose above the starter.

>>>>they all do it, right at that one spot on firewall connector - on the non-engine side of the firewall, right above the starter. Appears to me the rubber hose under the original crip type hose clamp isn't getting squeezed hard enough.

what i prefer to do is get a double barbed brass fitting for joining too hoses, and bypass that whole thing, and with a METAL part too !<<<<
