Hector, Ryan, et al:

You guys hit on something that I feel fairly strongly about....

Let's not discuss stealing from Robert Bentley Publishers on the list please. If you need a copy of the Bentley for your ride. BUY IT. It is a copyrighted work, it most likely has a fairly slim margin and if Bentley decides to stop publication of such things, we all lose. Apparently you folks are not aware that Stan Wohlfarth, one of Bentley's editors, monitors this list. Our input has helped to ensure that the latest edition of the Vanagon manual is more accurate than the previous edition. Let's not give them reason to stop doing that. Besides, stealing is just not right. Especially stealing tools. And the Bentley service manuals are most assuredly tools.

New they're about $63 through Amazon. (Or about a tank and a half of fuel.) There's one on TheSamba for "make offer." <http://www.thesamba.com/vw/ classifieds/detail.php?id=545640>

Michael, ask all the "stupid questions" you need. That's why this list is here.
