I can second or third the advice on a MacBook. They do work well.

As for the library and internet access....

I have yet to find a small town w/o internet access at the library. (nice to know in a pinch). Though one might be limited to 1/2 hour sessions, it really helps. Especially in my case as I don't carry my MacBook with me or some other PDA type.

And as an aside, even though I'm obviously never a member, and a Canuck to boot, (aboot? --- ;^), in the U.S. and Canada I have always been allowed access to any library's internet access.

Cheers,

Neil.
