I don't recall anyone here on the list telling you you had to use police car black - that was the only thing your paint shop had to offer. You received advice from the cheap side, like me, advising you that Krylon satin black from a rattle can worked well. The other recomendations you received were that the paint shop should be able to find you a nice satin black for your bumpers and that "any quality satin black" would work/loook good. The actual paint code for the actual black VW used on the bumpers seemed unavailable to everyone.

I have never taken a vehicle to a paint shop to have it painted. What I do know is that if I did go to a shop and they were not able to help me find something that seems as simple as a quality Satin Black - I would run, not walk, to a different paint shop.

Dude, I'm not trying to blast you and I'm not trying to start anything here but your message seems to imply that the list "blew you off" in some way and if that is the case I think that's unfair. You asked a question and you were given honest advice.

I hope you find the paint you are looking for.
